About Miss Potendyk
At the age of 5, my family moved to East Peoria. I attended Armstrong, Bolin, CJHS and East Peoria Community High School. I graduated from EPCHS in 2007. I then went to Monmouth College and majored in Physical Education. I graduated from Monmouth College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and a Health endorsement. I started my teaching career as a K-8 PE teacher at Riverview Grade School. The next year, I had the opportunity to become a K-2 PE teacher at Shute and Wilson in East Peoria. After two years there, I moved up to CJHS as a Health and PE teacher. This is now my fifth year at the junior high. I also coach cross country, 7th grade girls' basketball, and track at CJHS.
I live in Morton with my dog, Kolt. I am a die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, so my dog is named after Kolten Wong. I am also a Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls fan. In my free time I like to spend time with my dog, run, and play any sports.
